Indonesia Text
The first Indonesian youth congress was held in Batavia, capital of the then-Dutch East Indies in 1926, but produced no formal decisions but did promote the idea of a united Indonesia.
In October 1928, the second Indonesian youth congress was held at three different locations. In the first session, the hope was expressed that the congress would inspire the feeling of unity. The second session saw discussions about educational issues. In the third and final session, held at Jalan Kramat Raya No, 126, on October 28 participants heard the future Indonesian national anthem Indonesia Raya by Wage Rudolf Supratman.
The congress closed with a reading of the youth pledge.

Kongres Pemuda Indonesia pertama yang diadakan di Batavia, ibukota Hindia-Belanda pada tahun 1926. Kongres ini tidak menghasilkan keputusan resmi tetapi hanya mempromosikan ide negara kesatuan Republik Indonesia.
Dua tahun kemudian tepatnya pada bulan Oktober 1928, diadakanlah kongres pemuda Indonesia keduayang dilaksanakan di tiga lokasi yang berbeda. Pada sesi pertama, terungkaplah harapan bahwa kongres itu sebaiknya menginspirasi rasa persatuan. Pada sesi kedua diadakan diskusi tentang isu-isu pendidikan, sedangkan pada sesi ketiga dan sebagai sesi terakhir, yang diadakan di Jalan Kramat Raya No, 126, pada tanggal 28 Oktober, semua peserta mendengarkanlagu kebangsaan Indonesia “Indonesia Raya”, lagu kebangsaan masa depan Indonesia pada saat, yang diciptakan oleh Wage Rudolf Supratman. Kongres ditutup dengan pembacaan Sumpah Pemuda.

Pertama
Kami poetera dan poeteri Indonesia, mengakoe bertoempah darah jang satoe, tanah air Indonesia.

Kedoea
Kami poetera dan poeteri Indonesia, mengakoe berbangsa jang satoe, bangsa Indonesia.

Ketiga
Kami poetera dan poeteri Indonesia, mendjoendjoeng bahasa persatoean, bahasa Indonesia.

Kongres Pemuda Indonesia pertama yang diadakan di Batavia, ibukota Hindia-Belanda pada tahun 1926. Kongres ini tidak menghasilkan keputusan resmi tetapi hanya mempromosikan ide negara kesatuan Republik Indonesia
This sentence is translated using transposition and additional techniques:
a.       Transposition technique is in the   “The first Indonesian youth congress was held in Batavia” is translated into “Kongres Pemuda Indonesia pertama yang diadakan di Btavia”. Here we notice that there is a little bit different in grammatical system in which it is using noun clause “yang”.
b.      Addition technique is in the words “united Indonesia” which is translated into “kesatuan republik Indonesia”. There is additional word “republik”

In October 1928, the second Indonesian youth congress was held at three different locations.
Oktober 1928, diadakanlah kongres pemuda Indonesia keduayang dilaksanakan di tiga lokasi yang berbeda.
Here this sentence belongs to the additional technique. We can see it in the additional word of “diadakanlah”, while in the English text, we don’t find any word that means “diadakanlah”

In the first session, the hope was expressed that the congress would inspire the feeling of unity.
Pada sesi pertama, terungkaplah harapan bahwa kongres itu sebaiknya menginspirasi rasa persatuan
This sentence is translated using addition and also transposition technique.
a. The word “ the hope” is translated by addition technique which is translated by adding the word “ terungkaplah”,
b. While the word “would” is translated using transposition technique by using the close word meaning into “sebaiknya”

Pada sesi kedua diadakan diskusi tentang isu-isu pendidikan,
Here this sentence is translated using transposition technique. It is translated using little bit different grammatical in which word “saw” is translated into “diadakan”. Here it uses the close word meaning of the word “ saw”.

In the third and final session, held at Jalan Kramat Raya No, 126, on October 28 participants heard the future Indonesian national anthem Indonesia Raya by Wage Rudolf Supratman.

sedangkan pada sesi ketiga dan sebagai sesi terakhir, yang diadakan di Jalan Kramat Raya No, 126, pada tanggal 28 Oktober, semua peserta mendengarkanlagu kebangsaan Indonesia “Indonesia Raya”, lagu kebangsaan masa depan Indonesia pada saat, yang diciptakan oleh Wage Rudolf Supratman
In this sentence combination between addition and also transposition techniques
a.       Addition technique is seen in the part of sentence “in the third….” is translated into “sedangkan….” . Here we add the word “sedangkan”
b.      by Wage Rudolf Supratman” is transalated by adding the word “yang diciptakan”
c.       While the transposition technique is found in the words “participants” which is translated into “semua peserta”. It is called as adjective repeating or “ subjek berpronomina jamak dalam bahasa Indonesia”

The congress closed with a reading of the youth pledge.

Kongres ditutup dengan pembacaan Sumpah Pemuda.


In this one uses calque technique in which “pledge” is translated into the close word “ sumpah”

Of course we can notice that it uses transposition technique. “youth pledge” is translated grammatically into “sumpah pemuda” or adj plus noud is translated into noun plus adj.

Kami poetera dan poeteri Indonesia, mengakoe bertoempah darah jang satoe, tanah air Indonesia.
The word “one motherland, Indonesia” is translated into the words “bertumpah darah yang satu. tanah air Indonesia”. We add words “tanah air” in the end of the sentence, so it uses addition technique. While in the English text directly “Indonesia”.

Kami poetera dan poeteri Indonesia, mengakoe berbangsa jang satoe, bangsa Indonesia.


Here it uses transposition technique. It uses noun clause of “yang” when we translate the word ”one nation” into “berbangsa yang satu”

Ketiga
Kami poetera dan poeteri Indonesia, mendjoendjoeng bahasa persatoean, bahasa Indonesia.
This one uses addition technique.
a.       In the last sentence it says “the language of unity, Indonesia”, but in our translation is “bahasa persatuan, bahasa Indonesia”, so, here it adds word “bahasa” in the second phrase.
